INDECOPI recently launched the Statistical Dashboard for Patents and Industrial Designs, a platform providing detailed information on patent applications for inventions, utility models, and industrial designs submitted by both national and foreign individuals and entities from 1993 to the present.
The Dashboard, developed by INDECOPI´s Directorate of Inventions and New Technologies (DIN), is an interactive virtual tool for statistical visualization. With monthly updates, it aims to provide reliable data for representatives of public and private institutions, national and international organizations, as well as researchers.
This data is valuable not only for analyzing trends in future inventions and designs but also for aiding researchers and institutions in making informed decisions about the viability of their projects across various industrial sectors.
The Dashboard offers insights into the patent system overall, the status of Peruvian patents, the most common technological fields within the patent and industrial design database, and the participation of women and universities as patent applicants.
On the main page of the dashboard, users can view the top 20 companies, individuals, and universities-both national and international-with the highest number of patent applications or grants.
